Daddy's Last week of Summer Holidays

Yes, it is the last week that Daddy will be with me full-time (for a while).  Mommy and I will be missing him terribly!  Perhaps knowing that he's going back to work is making me not finish my feeds.  I've been worrying Mom and Dad as I've been drinking more than 50 per cent less than my norm.  No one can figure out why as I'm still my happy self!

We've been making the most of the week.  I went for trips to the library and to Hampstead Heath (where I wasn't allowed to have the crepes yet--too bad!).  I also had my friend Jack over for dinner (he brought his parents along with him too).

Here's my first time in a library--I was trying my best to be quiet!

First time meeting a deer.

I'm sure going to miss my Daddy once he goes back to work!

Good Bye Grandma and Grandpa J!

It's been a hard week.  I hated saying good bye to Grandma and Grandpa J.  It sure felt lonely without them in the house.  But I did enjoy their visit and look forward to seeing them again at Christmas.

We did it!  My playroom is complete!

Group hug!

Southend on Sea

As Grandma and Grandpa J are leaving soon, we decided to make the most of a nice, sunny day.  Daddy drove us down to Southend.  Boy, what an eye opener!  Too bad I could hardly keep my eyes open!  I saw lots of amusement rides, strange looking people and wanted to eat tons of ice cream.  It was a great outing!

My first ride on an escalator.

At the beach.

I spent most of the day sleeping!

Loved all the bright lights from the games!

The closest I got to the sea!

5 month old!

I can't believe I'm 5 months old--already!

New Things I can do:  Ican roll from my back to my tummy.  I do this so often I now have to sleep on my tummy as I kept on squirming and moving in bed (and getting my legs and arms caught in the cotbed!).  I can also go swimming in the big pool with Mom and Dad.  They hold on to me still but I love it!

My Favourite Toys:  Plastic cups, my cow rattle, and my Duck which makes noises when I kick at it and punch it.

Games I like to Play:  Playing peek-a-boo with my muslin; Play fighting with Daddy.

I laugh when:  People kiss/tickle my belly; random things like looking at Humpty on the curtain tie.

Funny things I do:  I get very excited and wave my arms and kick my legs wildly when sitting on my chair; I stare at the food when people are eating...wanting a taste badly!

My favourite things to cuddle:  Mommy and Daddy.

Here I am posing for my five month photo

Mommy assembled my high chair for me to use in a couple of weeks

Here I am about to go for my first swim.

I love playing with cups!

Enjoying spending Daddy's summer holiday with him.

Daddy's Birthday!

I got to celebrate Daddy's birthday with him.  He doesn't like to make a fuss but I did enjoy myself (even if I couldn't have any of his pie and custard).  Best part was opening up his presents.  I preferred the envelopes myself.

Here I am reading Daddy his card.

Grandma and Grandpa J's Visit

We've got a full house!  Grandma has been visiting for some time and Grandpa J finally arrived.  I've been out with Grandma to parks and the shopping mall.  Dad and Grandpa J have been building a wall to turn the garage into my playroom.  They're all impressed by how good I am when I'm taken out of the house.  A few days they ate at an Indian restaurant.  The food smelt great but I wasn't allowed trying anything yet!  But I did go see the tiger on the wall.

Like the song goes--Grandma took me for a walk down by Stanborough.

Here's my playroom being built

My Blessing

Last Sunday, I had my blessing at the Welwyn Garden City Free Church.  The service was held outside which was really nice as it was very hot and sunny.  Mommy dressed both Daddy and I in outfits that would match.  I was sooo good.  When Pastor Jane held me up and brought me around the congregation--I didn't cry at all!

Afterwards, everyone came over to our house to taste some of Mommy's baking.  It looked yummy.  Shame I couldn't try any.  Even with 7 babies in the house, there wasn't a lot of crying.  It was a very good day seeing everybody.

See how we all match!

Here we are with Pastor Jane
