10 Months Old!

New Things I Can Do:  say Dada; pull the plug in the bathtub; pull books from shelves; play hide and seek and peek-a-boo with a muslin; wave goodbye.

Works I Understand:  where's Mickey Mouse?  light, clock, Liam, Mommy, Daddy.

My new friends:  cousins Emily, Annabelle and Jacob.

My favourite activity:  Crawling up and pulling myself to stand on everything; pulling objects off of shelves, having a bath--splashing water everywhere!

Foods I Like:  yogourt, feeding myself finger foods, toast, avocado, all fruit!

Things I dislike:  Having my nose wiped and face cleaned.

And on to Ottawa

Boxing Day, Grandma and Grandpa J picked me up in Montreal and drove us to their home in Ottawa.  I was beginning to feel better and the next day we had a belated Christmas celebration there.

I got to meet more uncles and aunts....and spent more time getting to know my cousins, Emily and Jacob.  I took a real shine to Emily.  I played my first game of hide and seek with her.  She was great to play around with.  I liked Jacob too but he was very weary of me.  Despite this, Jacob was very kind to share his toys with me.

It got to be very cold.  Grandma and Grandpa J took me outside for a tour around their house.  I didn't like being so bundled up, so I didn't stay out too long.

At the end of my holiday, it was very hard saying goodbye to everyone.  I will have to catch up with everyone on skype as soon as I can.

I guess I've been hanging out too much with the dogs!

Here is Grandma with her 3 grandchildren.

Waiting to go outside.

My first ride in a sled.

My First Christmas

Christmas Eve I got all dressed up and had my first Christmas dinner with all the family.  Unfortunately, I caught the cold that had been spreading through the household so I didn't feel up to eating any turkey.

Here we all are, ready to feast.

I slept and hoped that Santa would think I was a good boy this year--and when I awoke on Christmas morning, it was snowing--just perfect!

Dad says don't blame him--it was Mommy's idea to dress me up as one of Santa's elves.

Here I am making everyone laugh.

I had a wonderful first Christmas.  Too bad I won't be able to remember it.  But at least Mom took tons of pictures.

Meeting My Relatives in Montreal

I've had a very busy past couple of weeks.  I took my first bus and plane ride.  Mommy says I was very good on the plane---and even allowed my Mom and Dad to watch a movie.  After a very long day of travel, I fell asleep on the suitcases just before Uncle Nick picked us up from the airport.

At last in Montreal, it looked very similar to England....no snow yet!  I quickly got over the jetlag in a day, in time to meet all my relatives.  I would greet them with a puzzled expression, often followed by an "ooh" sound and then a few tears (if they were men).

I loved my Grandpa and Granny's house and got to explore around.  My favourite toys to play with were Granny's Christmas musical toys and the Elmo chair.  I made everyone smile when I danced while Dominic the Donkey sung his song.

I had a good time in Montreal....but I did not like how you had to bundle me up so much to get out of the house!  I hated that p'tit Coulou---I could hardly see!  It sure seems easier to get me ready back home!

Uncle Wayne and Auntie Susie stopped by for a visit.

Here I am meeting my Grandpa

and meeting Granny.

All bundled up and only a little bit of snow.

My cousin Annabelle showed me her pretty room.

Here I am with my Uncle Scott--gosh, he's so tall!

Here I am at Karine's house---and I got to meet the cute little Olivia (and here I am stealing her toy lion!).

And Sarah visited from Boston.
