Grace is 10 months old!

New Things I Can Do:  I can say "Da da da" and "Ma ma ma".  I can clap my hands and feet and wave when asked.  I have better balance on my feet now.  I can get up onto my knees and rock back and forth.  I'm better at picking up my food with my fingers.  I can know my umpire signal for "out" in cricket.

Words I Understand:  wave, Mommy, Daddy and Liam, clap, out.

My Friends:  Liam

My Favourite Activity:   My swimming lessons; Jumping in the Jumperoo; Liam making me laugh; Going on the swings at the park; Pushing myself backwards on the floor.  I also love going down the slide with Daddy holding me.

Foods I Like:  I like everything so far! I often cry when my meal is finished because I want more!  I love banana!

Things I Dislike:  I don't like being left alone in a room.

September

Daddy reads me a bed time story---and Liam listens in as well.

Getting ready for a journey back home.

I'm so proud of myself!  I'm feeding Doudou Ane through my belly button!

I'm with my brother and cousins.  I can't believe Max and I fit in one swing!

Daddy and I are chasing Liam but we can never catch him!

An homage to my Daddy's favourite childhood toy--Kermit!

I love my cousins but won't share my snack with ANYBODY!

Wearing my first ever big boy pyjamas!

See saw, Margery Daw...

Liam is 2 and a half years old!!

New Things I Can Do:  I can jump really high and especially like jumping on my trampoline.  I now usually drink out of cups with no lids on them.  I'm sleeping in a big boys bed where I can get in and out by myself.  I can count to ten in French and English and almost count to 20 in French and English as well.  I can recognise and sound out half the letters in the alphabet.  I can throw underarm now and I know all the cricket umpire signals.  I love roleplaying...especially pretending I'm going grocery shopping and running into Festus (my favourite cashier!).   I'm great at holding hands with my parents and going on long walks.  I love playing outside and hanging on the bars in the playground.  I'm so proud now that I can climb to more and more places.

New Words:  "No, thank you" (I say this each time I'm offered food that I'm fussy about!  I don't talk in complete sentences and sometimes I can be difficult to understand but I'm talking more and more.

Favourite Animal:  Despite my parents bringing me regularly to see the animals at Van Hage's, I'm not an animal lover.  But I do look forward to running into two black cats, Jack and Harry, on our way to the park.

Friends I See Often:  Amy, Oliver, Robert.

Favourite Hobbies:  I'm always asking to play outside....and loved going on holiday where I got to play in the water and on the beach.  I'm a real wiz at puzzles---and can do puzzles with over 30 pieces no problem by myself.  I love books and can sit and be read to for over an hour.  I'm obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine.  I love doing his puzzles, reading all his books and playing with my trains.  I have developed a real love for trains recently!  Trains, trains, trains...that's all I think about lately!

Foods I Like:  I'm not an adventurous eater and can be quite fussy.  I do however like egg sandwiches, sweet potato, humous, all fruit and my usual snack of raisins and cheerios"

Daddy says I have exceptionally good hand-eye co-ordination.

Here I am playing cricket with Daddy and Uncle Jamie.  I get to play now that I can hit a ball accurately.

I love sleeping with a pillow and a blanket now.

After playing in the park, my usual routine is climbing on to this rock and then jumping off.

I'm a pretty good brother.  I love playing with Grace and she makes me laugh.  I also like it when Gracie tries to "get" me.

Most summer nights we went walking to our park after dinner.  I would kick the ball most of the way there.

I'm happy most of the time, especially when outdoors.

I like watching others play and am quite the observer.   Often I say "shy" when meeting new people and turn my head away.

I became quite daring at the park this summer.  I was so proud of myself when I finally was able to walk up the big kids slide.

I love playing with trains.  I went on my first ride of the Underground and on my first real steam train this summer.

Here I am on my big boy bed.  I love sleeping and when Grace goes down for her afternoon nap, so do I.  Mommy likes it that I still sleep close to two hours during the day!

Grace is 9 Months Old!

I love holding hands with Liam.

Unlike my Mom, I am fascinated by fish.

New Things I Can Do:  I can wave and I can push myself backwards on my tummy.  I'm getting better at feeding myself and love eating strips of toast but I am still finding it hard to pick up pieces of avocado.  When I drop my toys, I look down to see where they went.

Toys I Enjoy Playing With:  My absolute favourite toy is jumping up and down in the Jumperoo.  I like my plastic keys and shaking them.

My Best Noises:  Saying "Da Da" and "Ba Ba" and blowing lots of raspberries!

How I've Been Sleeping:  I'm a very good sleeper.  I sleep for two naps during the day and as long as I'm not going to the park in the evening (I'm enjoying the summer), I go to bed at 7pm and up at 7am with no fuss!

New Foods I've Tried:  Mommy makes most of my meals but I've started to eat more finger food.  I like avocado and eggy bread.  I go crazy for yogourt and cry when it's all gone.

Cute Things I Do:  I really adore my brother Liam and am always trying to get to him.  I cover my face with my muslin to play peekaboo with myself.  I laugh hysterically when you clap my hands together for me.  I'm always going after the coasters after I finish drinking my milk.

I like sitting up by myself.

I still suck the same two fingers.

Kisses from my Daddy are the best.

Here I am making a face to get Liam to laugh.  We love wearing hats together!

I loved visiting so many parks this summer.

This is my new cot with a new mural on my bedroom wall.

Here I am having a blast in the jumperoo.

Enjoying the backyard.
